In Remembrance: A Concert for Peace

Tiverton based East Devon Choral Society will be marking the centenary of the First World War with A Concert for Peace with a full symphony orchestra, and introduced by former BBC presenter Stephanie Hughes.  Musical Director is Andrew Daldorph. The Last Post

This year's Royal British Legion Devon Festival of Remembrance will take place at the University of Exeter's Great Hall on Thursday 6th November. The theme will be 'the Start of the Great War' and the event will feature The Band of HM Royal Marines Commando Training Centre, Lympstone, Men of Morchard. Salcombe Regis – A Parish in the Great War – illustrated talk

Flanders Fields Revisited – illustrated talk

'The Exeter Pals' will be giving an illustrated talk at St Thomas Library on Saturday 8th November at 2pm entitled 'Flanders Fields Revisited'. The talk will cover the group's recent visits to Mons, Loos, Ypres and Passchendaele, The Somme, Vimy Ridge, Canbrai and Arras.
