WW1 Exhibition and Memory walk – Georgeham
9 August 2014
Georgeham Parish Memorial Clock Appeal Group has organised a series of events for locals and visitors alike to help us to remember the beginning of WW1 and to raise money for the restoration of the clock on Georgeham church tower which is our WW1 Memorial.
On Saturday 9th August at St George’s Church, Georgeham there will be a display of the parish as it was during the First World War, and of the men from the parish who served.
We will also have a Teddy Bear parachute jump and zip wire, and refreshments will be available.
From there we have planned a Memory Walk round the villages to see where some of our soldiers lived; maps provided for a small fee.
Weather permitting, there should be tractor rides between the villages of Georgeham and Croyde.
We hope you will be able to join us. The restored Memorial Clock will be re-dedicated at the Remembrance Day service in November.
