Researching WW1: Information Day at Devon Heritage Centre

Devon History Forum will be hosting a WW1 Research Information Day at the Devon Heritage Centre on Monday 8th September.

The programme for the day is as follows:
10.30: Arrival and Coffee
11.00: Welcome, Emma Waldron, Project Co-ordinator, Devon Remembers
11.10: Rob Palmer: Military History for Beginners, with particular regard to the Great War, 1914-1918
12.00: Ann Bond: Kenton’s Not Forgotten Project: a case study
There is a café in Great Moor House and a larger one, the Fresha café, about five minutes’ walk away. There is also a pub, the Barn Owl, on the other side of the Honiton Road. However, it may be preferable to bring your own lunch.
2.00: Jan Wood: Further Adventures in World War One History
2.40: Problem Solving Session and Networking
If you have a particular question or research problem which you would like help with, please bring it to the meeting or, if possible, notify us of it in advance . Members of Devon Heritage Services staff and speakers will be available to advise you about original, secondary and online sources which may help you to overcome your research difficulties.
