Armed Forces Day in Exeter

Armed Forces Day will be commemorated in Exeter on Saturday 21st June in many ways, overseen by HRH The Princess Royal . See details below:
Information and exhibition stands on the Cathedral Green from lunchtime, including Armed Forces and Cadets recruitment stands, climbing wall and ‘Field Kitchen’ catering. P2000 training ships moored in the Canal Basin on the Quay
11.30am – Armed Forces Day Parade sets off from St James’ Park, Exeter City FC ground, through High Street to Exeter Cathedral. HRH The Princess Royal will be taking the salute from the Guildhall.
11.30am – 12.30pm – Fly past by Sea King helicopter
1pm – Service in Exeter Cathedral for invited guests
Afternoon entertainment and Military Village on Cathedral Green, including the Rifles Blues Band and Cadet Band. British Legion WW1 Poppy Banner on display in the Cathedral.
4pm – Beating the Retreat by Band of HM Royal Marines
7.30pm – Armed Forces Day concert in the cathedral featuring the Royal Marines Association band and the Cathedral Choir. (click on link for details)
