Devon-Remembers-Logo-Colour-2The hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War is being commemorated by Devon Remembers, a four year project to look at the effect of the War on the people of Devon.

More than 11,000 Devon men and women died in the First World War.  We want to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by local people during and after the war, and recognise the enormous contribution made by Devon residents.

HOW WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

We would love to hear about how your community is commemorating, remembering or celebrating the end of the First World War 100 years ago.  Please send in details of any events you are holding over the next few months for inclusion in our online calendar, and share news, stories or photographs of how your community has remembered them.

Email any information, dates, stories and photographs to:                    devonremembers-mailbox@devon.gov.uk
